Peninsula Boot Camp’s 4 week program was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I signed up primarily to lose weight but had no idea of the many other benefits I would get out of the program. On top of losing 8 kg in 4 weeks, I achieved significantly improved fitness, energy levels and mental state. The environment is incredibly friendly, supportive and motivational, and from the Sarge and Sargette to the fellow Boot Campers, everyone works together no matter what their fitness level. Provided you commit yourself to the program, I could not recommend Peninsula Boot Camp highly enough to anyone wanting to improve their health and fitness. I’ve already signed up for next month and the month after!’

I trained for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and although the training was just as tough, the encouragement I received from Sarge and the entire Peninsula Boot Campers was something I had never experienced. Always working as a team and supporting each other through any challenge no matter how extreme it might have seemed. I enjoyed the physical challenge but most of all the discipline & having a team that I know I couldn't let down.

I love training with PBC team. I had never really been a consistent exerciser before personal training with Di and Power Circuit Classes with Shani. Now I train consistently, have changed my diet, am fitter than I have ever been, more toned & lean then every before and dropped 5 kilos in the process. Most of all, I've enjoyed every minute of it!

I joined Peninsula Boot Camp (PBC) at a time when I was beginning to do more strenuous, challenging and satisfying exercise: running, some weight training and a variety of cardio activity. Under the guidance of Ty Hanley (also known as Sarge), participating in PBC enabled me to achieve the extra level of fitness I hoped to attain. The graduated program consisting of a wide variety of activities, coupled with a healthy competitive team dynamic enabled me to push harder and achieve the outcomes I desired.Ty’s PBC routines consisted of a wide range of venues and activities, but importantly he ensured that the fitness focus was underpinned by a strong sense and practice of PBC values: strength, teamwork, discipline, determination, respect and friendship. As a long time member of the Australian Defence Force, this aspect of Ty’s training method particularly appealed to me. As a direct result of Ty’s training, my level of fitness grew markedly, evident by several key achievements: the pinnacle of which was my first half marathon in 2010. I’d recommend this program to anyone who wants to get fitter & achieve great results in a supportive team environment.

The initial warm welcome from Sarge and Sargette made me feel immediately part of the team and when they said PBC is all about encouraging and supporting each other and being positive I knew I found just what I needed.

Since joining PBC I have become stronger in both mind and body. I am the fittest I have ever been and am loving the challenges and variety that each session presents. Sargette has set me on the right path with my eating habits and through personal training sessions is constantly challenging me with heavier weights and exercises I would never have attempted on my own. Because of the support and belief that Sarge and Sargette have in me (and the great running plan Sarge set up) I had the courage to sign up and to successfully run the Melbourne Marathon this year, something I had always talked about but always made an excuse not to do.

PBC has become a way of life for me, I have made some amazing likeminded friends and love the supportive atmosphere that comes with it. Sarge and Sargette, you two are amazing and I will be forever grateful for what a positive impact you have had on my life, thank you!

I love Mel’s knowledge and expertise. All her workouts are very different, so they are challenging and never dull. Mel not only takes time to work on my physical training but helps me with nutrition and other aspects of my overall well being. If you're thinking about training with a professional i highly recommend Mel. Mel’s the best trainer I’ve ever had!

My journey with Peninsula Boot Camp started in September 2005 and I’m still as passionate and committed as I was back then.Initially boot camp was about meeting like minded people because I moved from the City and knew no one on the Peninsula. I certainly did that and have formed some great friendships along the way. Boot Camp also enabled me to increase the intensity of my work outs. Instead of always doing the same old things and not pushing myself I have the encouragement and support not just from Sarge and Sargette but the Boot Camp team who are always right behind you and help you get through the toughest of sessions. I love the timing of the sessions, for me it’s a fantastic way to start the day with the variety of locations and types of training offered. It’s been great not only for my fitness but my mental and physical well being. Well done to Sarge and Sargette for creating such a fantastic program and now offering a range of incredible fitness options that include Boxing, Circuit and PT with an equally fantastic staff of trainers.Thanks, I’m hooked.


Gill - Power Circuit- Kayaking and Degani Kinglake bike ride
I am on a happy journey discovering Power Circuit Training. In the lead to the June endurance Kayaking event, I needed additional training.  I contacted Di and thus began my commitment to Peninsula Boot Camp's Circuit Training.  Now after 4 months I have greater upper body strength for paddling and additional power in my legs  such that I comfortably completed the 120k Degani Kinglake bike ride.  Shani our Trainer creatively changes exercises  each session to thoroughly work the whole body and intuitively watches each member to encourage maximum performance. We leave these sessions  fully stretched, but a feeling of exhilaration.Thank you Shani.

I have found Peninsula Boot Camp to be a great way to improve my level of fitness.  Sarge knows how to challenge me to work hard so that I improve.  Who would have thought I could run 10k's before breakfast?
But by far the best thing about boot camp is the people.  Sarge and Sargette have worked hard to create a great encouraging atmosphere which means everyone helps everyone else.  I love playing team sports and competing, and it's this sense of being part of a team at boot camp which keeps me coming back as well as all the great friends I've made who are part of that team.
